“The connection is the rocket soul.“
The tennis racket has to be retaken for a certain amount of time to get the best performance on the field. Dax Tenis Club offers this service for the sum of 15 lei, workmanship. Optionally, for the additional amount of 5 lei, you can also print the logo or racquet on the playing surface with special markers and templates.
The connection machine used is the latest, top-of-the-line model with a perfect precision (eg 24.2 kg tension), tennis can be checked upon request by various methods available in our location.
With regard to the connection used, you can choose from the wide range we have on stock at very good prices or you can come with your own connection.

Useful:
Synthetic tennis connections have improved considerably over the past 20 years, so there are few really bad connections, but as each player has certain needs and preferences, Dax Tennis Club offers some useful information below in choosing the right fit:
The feel of the connection – the pleasure of the game
It is difficult to reach a consensus on the reasons why a match is “playable” – some players prefer firmer harsher contact, and others are more adept at comfort and more elastic ball rejection – less effort to hit. Generally, a playable junction is elastic, which means it rejects the ball quickly from a simple contact. The connections vary depending on the material used, the way they are constructed and the thickness. The most playful connection at the moment is the natural matte (natural gut), made exclusively from natural material – beef. This is the oldest connection used and represents the pioneer of playability – feeling.
Natural Natural Mat: Babolat VS TOUCH NATURAL GUT, LUXILON NATURAL GUT, Wilson Natural Gut
The Dax Tennis Club’s recommendations for a playable connection, besides the natural mat, are the multifilament variants:
Babolat X-CEL FRENCH OPEN, Tecnifibre HDX Tour, Tecnifibre NRG2, Head Rip Control, Tecnifibre X-ONE BiPhase, Wilson Sensation, Babolat Addiction
Connection voltage
The tension to which the rocket is connected greatly influences the game. Such a lower tennis gives the ball a better speed and a bigger tennis boosts control. An average beginner is recommended for a soft, soft-fiber connection.
Professional players need a high voltage connection to facilitate powerful and controlled kicks.
To find the best recipe, we recommend that you go from a medium voltage and begin to vary slightly until you find the best option.
Sustainability of the connection
The more durable, more durable the connection will be less playable (weak feeling). Those who are looking for a durable connection must turn towards a thicker connection made of a friction-resistant material, which will damage the elasticity and feel.
For those who seek to break the connection less often there are the following possibilities in the increasing order of their resistance:
– Play with the same model of connection he uses but in a thicker version (instead of 1.25 mm thick to try 1.30 mm or 1.35 mm)
– try a nylon-based connection – eg. Babolat Synthetic Gut, Wilson Stamina,
– try a polyester connection – for example, Baboalt Rpm Blast, Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour, Dunlop Black Widow, Head Hawk, Head Sonic Pro, Head Lynx, Kirschbaum Pro Line II, Luxilon range especially Alu Power, Solinco Hyper G, Solinco Revolution, Solinco Tour Bite, Tecnifibre Black Code, Volkl Cyclone Tour, Wilson Revolve Spin, Yonex Poly Tour,
– to try the maximum resistance of a connection – connections made from Kevlar – hybrid
Thickness of a connection:
Generally speaking, a thinner connection offers better playability, while a thicker connection offers greater durability. A smoother connection also offers a better spin (ball effect).
Tennis thickness and diameter in millimeters:
15 | = | 1.41 – 1.49 mm | 17 | = | 1.20 – 1.24 mm |
15L | = | 1.34 – 1.40 mm | 17L | = | 1.16 – 1.20 mm |
16 | = | 1.26 – 1.33 mm | 18 | = | 1.10 – 1.16 mm |
16L | = | 1.22 – 1.26 mm | 19 | = | 1.00 – 1.10 mm |
Materials from which connections are made:
Nylon (nylon) – “synthetic yarn” – Connection manufacturers have found a winning recipe made of nylon, a recipe that combines good cord playability and increased durability. In the past, when wooden rackets were used, the nylon fittings were used only by beginners, the players who respected or played at the good level were using only the natural mat. With the evolution of manufacturing technology, nowadays, 98% of professional players opt for this type of material – nylon connection.
Natural mattress – the ultimate connection in terms of playability and feeling, is recommended for players with arm problems (muscle or joint pain) or players who opt for maximum quality. Professional players have been choosing hybrids over the past, using a polyester-based connection for the mains and a natural mat for the crosses, thus compromising durability and feeling.
Polyester is a material with a high resistance in time, it is destined for strength players, with good technique, is not recommended to occasional amateur players. It is used especially in ATP or WTA professional circuits. Usually, a long-length polyester connection is used with a softer and wider fiber connection.
Kevlar is the most durable material used in tennis matches. It is intended for players who prefer strength to the detriment of comfort and feeling. For a better feeling, you can use the Nylon-wide rack hybrid on the wide. For those who try for the first time a kevlar-based connection, we recommend connecting it with 10% reduced tennis.
Construction of the connection
Here are some common ways to construct the tennis connection and the benefits of each mode:
Solid center with a coating
The most popular nylon fittings have this type of construction, the main benefits are good tension maintenance over time and a harsh feeling. The quality of the nylon center and the size and orientation of the upper layers can influence feel and comfort.
- Babolat Conquest
- Gosen OG Sheep Micro
- Gosen OG Jim Courier
- KLIP Scorcher
- Prince Synthetic Gut Original
- Wilson Stamina Synthetic Gut
Solid center with multiple cover layers
Offers durability and good damping.
- Gamma Gut 2
- Gamma TNT Pro Plus
- KLIP Scorcher
Multifilament without coating
A multitude of nylon fibers woven similarly to natural mat. This construction is more comfortable than the one with a solid center because hundreds or thousands of micro fibers have a much better impact on the ball. The result of this construction is a soft, comfortable fit that is recommended for players who have problems in the arm who do not want to pay the much higher cost of a natural mat.
- Babolat X-Cel Premium
- Gamma ESP
- Head Fiber Gel
- KLIP Excellerator
- Prince Premier w/SoftFlex
- Tecnifibre 515, NRG2, X-One BiPhase
- Wilson Sensation, Sensation NXT
Multifilament with cover layers
This construction has the benefits of a multifilament with added durability.
- Babolat Powergy
- Gamma Live Wire
- Head RIP Control
Textured
Created for improved spin.
- Gamma TNT Pro Plus Spin

- Wilson Extreme Spin
Composite
A combination of different materials to bring out the best of each.
- Gamma TNT Extreme Spin 19, TNT Fusion Plus
- Head RIP Control, RIP Ti. Fibre, Ti. Fibre (coating)
- Luxilon Big Banger, ALU-Power (polyester & fluorocarbon resin)
- Prince Perfection, Pro Blend (Duraflex), Synthetic Gut w/Duraflex, Topspin (Duraflex)
Monofilament Polyester
Everything we find on the market at the moment as monofilament is made of polyester. This construction is durable. As a little we find the loss of tension in time and low feeling.
- Babolat Pro Hurricane
- Gosen Polylon
- Kirschbaum Super Smash & Super Smash Spiky
- Tecnifibre Polyspin
Hybrid Kevlar-Nailon
This construction combines kevlar resistance (on long) with the more friendly nylon (wide) feel.
It is the most durable construction.
It offers a feeling of hard, dead connection.
